If you’re going to Heartland Community College, Illinois State University, or Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington-Normal, there are plenty of study spots on or off campus that you can take advantage of, whether you need a quiet place to read your textbooks or just want to spend some time away from dorm life and the cafeteria food. If you’re studying within Redbird Country, here are ten places you can go to get your work done.
1) Starbucks (7 locations)
Starbucks is a popular study spot for many college students. For one, Starbucks has WiFi, so you can get your work done without any interruption from the outside world. Plus, it's usually not too crowded which means you'll have more space to concentrate on what you're doing.
With a total of 7 locations to choose from, you're going to find a nice cozy spot to dig into your work and not be distracted by others.
2) Heartland Community College Library
The Heartland Community College Library is the perfect place to study for any college course. With a large selection of books, you will find everything you need to learn about your concentration, whether it be math or history. There are also plenty of seats to sit down and take a break from studying. You can even work on homework with friends! 3) Milner Library (ISU)
Milner Library on the campus of Illinois State University is one of the largest indoor places to study that's found in Redbird Country. The library provides many resources to both students and community members, such as collections of books, periodicals, DVDs, CDs, video games, and more. With a wide variety of books available for borrowing at any given time, it's no wonder Milner is a popular place to study on campus.

Located near Maggie Miley's Pub, the Coffeehouse & Deli is a perfect study spot for students from any type of major to find their concentration. They offer an extensive menu including breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, specialty coffees, and more! The ambiance is conducive to studying as well as friendly staff.
5) Barnes & Noble Booksellers
Barnes & Noble Booksellers is always a great place to take a break and study. This is a popular spot for ISU Students. It's close to the campus, and it has a pleasant ambiance. 7) Normal Public Library
If you need to study but can't seem to find a quiet place, the Normal Public Library may be your best bet. All the study rooms are full of natural light, there is plenty of seating, and it's a great place to get research done. The library is close to ISU Campus which is also quite convenient.

College is a big deal, and often the first step to a successful career. While many people are fortunate enough to grow up close to their college or university of choice, others have to commute from across town. They have so many fabulous coffee and smoothie options, plus their fresh baked goods will definitely hit the spot. Plenty of indoor seating and free Wi-Fi are just two more reasons why it's a popular place for students to do their work.
9) Panera Bread
Panera Bread is a popular study spot for both students and the general public. Many locations are open for long hours, making it easy to grab a quick bite to eat or enjoy a nice cup of coffee while you're working on your homework. The food is always fresh, so you know that when you order an oatmeal raisin cookie it will taste delicious! Plus, the seating arrangements are comfortable which makes it easy to stay long into the early evening.

Coffee Hound is a coffee shop close to campus that provides study spots for students, free WiFi, and a variety of snacks. They also provide great snacks such as baked items and soup. Try the Mexican Mocha, I think you'll like it a lot! It's in Downtown Bloomington, where you can also take a quick walk around to check out quaint shops like Bobzbay, a popular independent bookstore!
